FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where should we stay?
We kindly ask that all our guests stay at our host resort Moon Palace Jamaica. We want our wedding celebration to be a vacation experience for everyone and we'd love to spend some time with you outside the Wedding Day, be it at the pool, by sharing a few meals and drinks together or maybe even experiencing an excursion as a group. We have set aside a block of discounted rooms (minimum 3-night stay) at this resort and you must make your reservation through our travel coordinator MarieSam, or you will be required to pay a fee to attend our wedding events.

When should we arrive?
You've traveled all this way, so you might as well make a vacation out of it and join us as early as possible. Our room block is available from June 1 to 8, 2023. And the Wedding Day is on Saturday, June 3, 2023. We recommend that you arrive at least 2 days before the Wedding Day. But please come and stay as long as you'd like.

What should I wear to the wedding?
Please dress in semi-formal attire, although suit and tie formal is not required. Think beach chic elegance -- we want you to be comfortable, but no flip-flops or board shorts please!

What do we do about transportation in Jamaica?
Roundtrip airport transportation to and from our wedding resort is available for $38.57 per person, or it is included for free with a 4-night stay or more. If you would like any private transfers or to plan an off-site excursion, please ask our travel coordinator MarieSam for information and assistance on that request.

Do we have to stay at the wedding resort? Can we stay somewhere else and still attend your wedding?
All guests must stay at our host hotel to attend our wedding celebration. If you are not staying at Moon Palace Jamaica, you will be required to pay a visitor's fee to attend our wedding ceremony and reception for the day. IMPORTANT: In addition, if you book a reservation at the hotel but do NOT book through the group block we have contracted, you will be required to pay a $105 per person fee just to participate in our wedding day festivities. We kindly ask all our guests to book using our agent who has established the lowest possible rate for our group to stay at the resort.

What is the weather like? What should we pack for our trip?
Ocho Rios, Jamaica is typically hot and humid -- temperatures are usually in the high 80s to 90s. We recommend bringing light summer clothing and swimsuits. But also bring a light sweater for the evenings. Other helpful essentials include sunblock, mosquito repellent, water shoes, swim coverups, flip-flops, a light cap or hat, sunglasses, etc. Think beach vacation with beach elegant attire for the Wedding Day and beach chic attire for dinners on the other nights during your stay.
